Hi, does anybody have any exsperience with running a 5050 @ 2ohms on bass dutuies for substanable periods?

QSC gives the specs as shown below, has anybody on here or SP benched the unit with a 50hz sine wave or similar?

I would say there is probably a good reason the 5050 and 4050HD exist. The 4050 is designed to run into low impedance loads while the 5050 is optimised for 4Ohm loading.

not good on sub Ben ok for kicks and above....... read a few reports on this amp, was interested my self in one, but the word is it lacks detail in the 30 to 60hz region...... shame cos u can get em very cheaply....

advice from any one thats run them may clarify this..... was speaking to the guys a middlesex sound and light about them a year or so back......

Yes they can handle 2 ohm with no issue.
